Includes a 90 minute one-on-one conversation via Zoom with Daniel about three of your songs, and in-depth listening and preparation by Daniel before your session. Receive expert, personal feedback and advice -- songwriter to songwriter -- on taking your songs to the next level. Together you'll explore melody and chord progression, lyrics and rhyme, theme and title, even your vocal, recording, and production... whatever areas you want to focus on. Daniel will illuminate what you’ve done just right in your song... explore areas where there may be room to take your song to its next level... and answer all your questions.
You'll experience Daniel’s ---
vast experience as a songwriting coach for over 20 years, composer of over 1,000 songs in every major style, and producer of hundreds of songs by dozens of artists.
exceptionally astute listening and communication skills.
deep knowledge of the music theory, structures, and relevant history of American pop, folk, inspirational/gospel, rock, blues, traditional/jazz, country and musical theater songs.
natural empathy, compassion and sensitivity towards you, your music, and your creative process.
How it works:
1. Purchase your Song Session below.
2. You will receive a link to a PDF with a request for your MP3s and lyrics for up to 3 songs, up to 5:30 per song. [MP3s can be recordings of any quality or complexity, from a cappella to live acoustic to fully-produced.]
We'll be in touch to schedule your one-on-one Zoom session at your convenience [generally 1-2 weeks out, but there's no rush if you need more time].
You can optionally include a note about your songs, if there's something you’d like Daniel to know in advance. You're also welcome to invite co-writers to attend the session (we'll send you a Zoom link, which you can forward to them).
3. Daniel will then take time before your session for careful listening, analysis and preparation.
4. When the day arrives, you’ll meet privately with Daniel on Zoom for 90 minutes to discuss your songs in detail.
NOTES:
a) A limited number of private Song Sessions are available each month.
b) You are welcome to give a Song Session as a gift. Simply place your order, and when you download your informational PDF, go ahead and forward it to the recipient OR let us know who you'd like us to send it to (we'll only include your name if you request that we do).
